It’s 3 o’clock in the morning. I suddenly wake up because I’ve had an incredible dream. About Marina, my wife. I was completely distraught because of what Marina told me in the dream.
„Bring the breath of life from you and me back into the world. Take me with you in a glass urn, and I’ll be able to see everything with you, as if from a submarine in the sea. Take me to all the lovely places where we’ve been on holiday together.“
The 50-day journey begins. A journey with Marina, the love of my life. It is a true story full of adventures. Why did I write it down? Because I believe no one has ever done anything like this before. And because it has turned into an incredible travelogue. Full of thought-provoking reflections and dialogues.
Because Marina was always right by my side. I was glad to have made that journey and, after giving it a great deal of thought over a few years, to have brought Marina to Mallorca as well. And then to Tenerife, where she passed away and has now found her final resting place.
