On Lanzarote, the Tourism Parish Office of the Evangelical Church in Germany invites people to attend church services in German, held explicitly in an ecumenical spirit and open to those of no particular denomination. Services are held at two locations in the south of the island. The structure of the parish office is currently being reorganised; the information below is correct as of August 2026.

Puerto del Carmen: Saturdays, 5 pm

Protestant services are held in Catholic churches; this is standard practice on Lanzarote and not just a temporary arrangement. During the summer break, the weekly services are suspended; only occasional services are held.
Choir and Parish Life
Singing plays a prominent role in church services on Lanzarote. The choir ‚In Dulci Jubilo‘, conducted by Marianne Whelpdale, performs regularly. In addition, there is a Bible study session with coffee and cake, as well as musical accompaniment at baptisms and weddings.
The parish office is currently being refurbished
For visitors, one thing is particularly important at present: the existing website kircheauflanzarote.de has not been updated since May 2026 and is due to be taken offline. Information on church activities on Lanzarote will in future be available via the Tourism Parish Office in Gran Canaria page. A new website is scheduled for launch in October 2026.
