Carnival on Tenerife

After the big parade was called off and the Coso postponed by bad weather, comparsas, dance troupes and the Reina del Carnaval finally took over the streets, with costumes poking fun at the town hall and the closed Playa Jardin.

A participant in the parade has a message for Playa Jardin. The beach to the west of the city is closed due to sewage problems. The costume is, in a way, a tribute.
