Soraya Campana Labrador crowned Carnival Queen in Puerto de la Cruz

Five candidates competed on the Esplanada del Muelle, where the winning fantasy costume 'Bello ensueno' by Fran Yanes took the crown. This year's carnival theme is the world of Tim Burton.

The colourful choreographed performances by the comparasas (dance groups) brought the evening at the Esplanada del Muelle in Puerto de la Cruz to a close.

The comparasas (dance groups) created a great atmosphere amongst the audience with their superb performances and magnificent costumes.

Paola Medina Álvarez opened the parade with the 'Zafira' fantasy, an elegant design by Gregorio Medina Real.

Estela Pérez Galindo brought the first block to a close with the inspiring design 'Reconquistando el Puerto' by Dámaso Ramos.

Silvia Hernández Pérez opened the second section with the fantasia 'Tusuunum' by Dailos Rodríguez López - in an imaginative production that filled the stage with colour.

Whilst the result of the vote was eagerly awaited, the singer Arodi Llanos thrilled the audience with his musical performances. After the jury's minutes had been read out, the winners of the gala were announced. Who will be crowned Carnival Queen for 2025?

The Gala de la Reina has once again shown that Puerto de la Cruz, the 'little sister', can certainly hold its own against the capital, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, when it comes to carnival.
