Building work under way at the Taoro Hotel in Puerto de la Cruz

Tropical Turistica Canaria S.L. is putting 40 million euros into the run-down landmark above the town, with the opening planned for 2024. The old outer walls stay, the interior is being stripped out. Our pictures show the site.

Umbau Taoro-Hotel Puerto de la Cruz Teneriffa 6 — The foundations will remain. And so, from the outside at least, the new Taoro Hotel in Puerto de la Cruz on Tenerife will bear a strong resemblance to the former hotel. Inside, it will be a modern, prestigious building.
