¡Hola and a warm welcome!
First of all, I’d like to thank you. It’s great that you’re now part of the Tenerife News community and are actively supporting our work. On this page, you’ll find some information that’s important regarding your registration with us. I’d be delighted if you could take a moment to read it below. Alternatively, you can also find some of this information in this video:
Please always log in!
I’d like to point something out right at the start. It is important that you always log in to our site so that you can enjoy the full benefits. You can read how to log in below – along with further information:
You can always see your Login status in the blue banner at the top. If you are greeted by your first name there, you are logged in. If not, you will find a link there that allows you to log in using your username or, alternatively, your email address and the password you have just chosen. Why not give it a go straight away? Because only after logging in can you enjoy all our benefits – including on all your future visits, by the way.
If you constantly have to log in again, it is very likely that you are not allowing us to set cookies. Alternatively, you may have visited us in incognito or private mode, which means your browser forgets your login details when you leave the website. Please visit us in your browser’s normal mode and allow us to set cookies for the longer term. That way, you’ll remain logged in for weeks on end.
Your benefits
As part of our community, you now have unlimited access to all posts, can read Teneriffa News with your chosen level of ad reduction, can comment on articles and receive our members‘ newsletter. There’s also a great text-to-speech function, and you can Teneriffa News install it like an app (see the video linked above for more details). Furthermore, you actively support our work, thereby safeguarding your number one source of information on the Canary Islands. Thank you very much!
Your profile
You can find your profile after logging in at https://www.teneriffa-news.com/user/profil. There you can update your details – for example, if your email address or payment details have changed. You can access your profile at any time after logging in by clicking on the relevant link in the blue banner at the very top of the website.
Reset your password
If you ever forget your password, you can reset it using the relevant link on the login page.
If you have to log in again every time:
If you have to log in again every time you visit our website, you are most likely not allowing us to set cookies. Alternatively, your browser may be deleting them automatically when you leave the website. You can change this in your browser settings. Your login status is usually stored in a cookie on the internet. Once you allow this, you will remain logged in for longer.
If you still see the message about your free allowance having expired despite having logged in:
In this case, I would ask you to after logging in, on a post where you see the message about your free allowance having expired, simply refresh the page once. If that doesn’t help, please clear your browser cache and cookies. You can find out how to do this for your specific combination of device and browser on this website here. You can then log in to our site again and will be able to use the page without any problems from then on.
If things don’t go to plan:
You may occasionally find that you are unable to view the content on Teneriffa News properly due to a technical fault. You can find out what you can do to sort this out in no time at all here.
Your direct line to us
If, however, you ever need help, or have any questions or suggestions, please do not hesitate to get in touch. You’ll find your direct line to us on our contact page. There, you can contact the editorial team directly.
Thank you for taking the time to read this information. I hope you enjoy browsing our website. It’s great that you’re supporting our work!
Warm regards,
Johannes Bornewasser, founder of Teneriffa News
