The celebrations will begin on Monday, 5 October 2026, at 12 noon at the Ermita de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe in Puntallana, in the municipality of San Sebastián de La Gomera. The main events will be the Mass and the subsequent procession in honour of the Virgen de Guadalupe, the patron saint of La Gomera.
As Puntallana is difficult to reach, the council is once again organising a free transport service this year. The buses will depart from the Estación de Guaguas coach station in San Sebastián de La Gomera at 9:30, 10:00 and 10:30. Places had to be booked at the Centro Juvenil by 1 October. Priority will be given to people with reduced mobility.
The Fiestas de Octubre 2026 are organised by the San Sebastián de La Gomera Town Council in collaboration with the La Gomera Island Council. The programme does not specify the route of the procession.
