The festival programme begins on 3 September with the Pregón on the town hall forecourt and the presentation of the candidates for Festival Queen. This is followed on 4 September by a mass and the raising of the flag in the Plaza de España to mark the official opening. Until 11 October, the events will take place across the town centres of Tazacorte and Puerto de Tazacorte. Almost everything takes place in the open air and is free of charge.
The secular programme includes, amongst other things, a nine-hour Cuban festival, two 'Love Festival' nights by the sea, the selection and coronation galas for the Festival Queen and Lady 2026, a 'chiringuito' night, the parade of festival floats, the 'Caballos Fufos' and a concert by the municipal band. On 26 September, Elvis Crespo will perform at the multi-purpose hall alongside the Orquesta Tropicana and DJ Mirris. The musical “La Cruz de Celia” is scheduled for 27 September, whilst on 25 September there will be a theatre performance by Trapiche at Casa Massieu.
Sport and other leisure activities are also part of the festivities. The programme includes tournaments in football, softball, dominoes, padel and tennis, as well as poker, horse racing, a classic car exhibition and open-water swimming in the harbour. For children, there is a children's festival, bouncy castles and a dedicated parade featuring the Caballos Fufos. From 21 to 24 September, there will also be a craft fair on Avenida de la Constitución.
The religious aspect plays a major part. From 26 to 28 September, the Triduum is celebrated in the parish church of San Miguel, followed by the Octave from 30 September to 6 October. The main day of the festival is 29 September, featuring a dawn procession, a solemn Mass with the Bishop at 12 noon, and a Mass, procession and fireworks in the evening. The festivities conclude on 11 October with the pilgrimage to the Virgen de Las Nieves, with a bus departing from the harbour.
