Then there are others who are making a statement. Here's a shout-out to Playa Jardín in Puerto de la Cruz, which has been closed due to sewage issues. Meanwhile, things are proceeding in a dignified manner in the capital, Santa Cruz. This gentleman is dressed in elaborate and very elegant attire. There are also some excellent costumes on show. Barely ten metres further on, the subject is already completely different. These 'monsters' have five eyes, but they're all smiling. The dance groups' traditional costumes are particularly elaborate every year. And yet the costumes hold up even when subjected to the strain of rapid movements. It's a gruesome scene here.
