Düsseldorf carnival prince and princess ride in Puerto de la Cruz parade

Prince Hanno I and Venetia Sara travelled on their own float, with around 200 kilos of sweets handed out to a crowd of some 50,000. The link between the two towns goes back more than 40 years.

Karnevalszug Puerto de la Cruz 2016 Prinz Hanno Venetia Sara — The Düsseldorf prince and princess, Prince Hanno I and Venetia Sara, took part in the grand carnival parade in Puerto de la Cruz. For these die-hard carnival revellers from the capital of North Rhine-Westphalia, this was the first major parade of the season due to the postponement of the Rose Monday parade.

Karnevalszug Puerto de la Cruz 2016 Tribüne Publikum — Under the watchful eyes of numerous carnival revellers who had travelled with them, the Düsseldorf carnival revellers paraded through the town in the north of Tenerife.

Karnevalszug Puerto de la Cruz 2016 Prinz Hanno Venetia Sara Kamelle — Together with the entourage, a good 200 kilograms of sweets were handed out.
