Strelitzie Botanical Garden
Strelitzias can be admired in several places in the Botanical Garden. The 'Tenerife flower' is a familiar sight on the Canary Islands. As well as the Canary Islands, it is also native to South Africa. As the flower resembles the head of an exotic bird, the plant is also known as the 'bird-of-paradise flower' or 'parrot flower'.
