The second performance of Rossini's opera «La Cenerentola», his version of Cinderella, is currently taking place at the Palacio de Formación y Congresos de Fuerteventura. The story follows Angelina's journey from the humiliation she suffers in her stepfather's house to her encounter with Prince Ramiro and the ball, from which only a bracelet remains. The performance is aimed at opera lovers and anyone who would like to experience the story as interpreted by Rossini. Tickets are available from 20 euros.

In this opera, Rossini retells the Cinderella story without a fairy godmother or a glass slipper. The story centres on Angelina, who lives a life of humiliation in her stepfather's house. Prince Ramiro appears after swapping places with his page to find out who treats him with sincerity. Angelina greets him with the same kindness she had previously shown to the tutor in disguise.
She later appears at the ball as an unknown lady and then disappears again. She leaves behind a bracelet, which the prince uses to search for her. He eventually finds Angelina in her own home; in the end, she becomes a princess and forgives her family.
The performance is the second of two shows at the Palacio de Formación y Congresos de Fuerteventura in Puerto del Rosario. The venue is situated on Calle Eliseo Gómez Ordóñez, near the Plaza del Centenario del Cabildo and just a few minutes' walk from the harbour and the seafront promenade. The performance begins at 20:00; tickets start at 20 euros.
