The award-winning short films from the latest edition of San Rafael en Corto will be screened. The short film festival is dedicated to the creation and promotion of films from the Canary Islands and is bringing this selection to Fuerteventura under the title 'Migrar es un derecho'.
Following the screenings, there will be a meet-and-greet with Bright Martins. The 23-year-old filmmaker and creative director has Nigerian roots and was born in the Canary Islands. His work combines his mother's story with his African identity and the country in which he grew up. He sees documentary film as a bridge between cultures and as a means of bringing perspectives drawn from lived experience to light.
The event will take place at the Auditorio Insular de Fuerteventura, Calle Ramiro de Maeztu 4, Puerto del Rosario. Admission is free, but a ticket is required in advance.
