The 36th Book Fair on Fuerteventura brings together authors, publishers, bookshops, educational institutions and the general public to celebrate literature and culture. The programme includes book launches, meetings with writers and other cultural events. There will also be theatre, music, circus performances and family-friendly activities, all with free admission.

The book fair will take place from 15 to 18 October 2026 on the square in front of the Palacio de Formación y Congresos in Puerto del Rosario. Its theme is 'Reading Opens Borders', and it focuses on reading as a gateway to other cultures, new perspectives, diversity, dialogue and understanding.
The event aims to introduce the public on Fuerteventura to important new publications, whilst also providing a space for exchange and engagement with books and literary creation. The programme includes book presentations, meetings with authors and other cultural events.
Alongside the literary programme, theatre, music and circus performances have also been announced. There will also be activities for children and family-friendly events. The book fair has been running for more than three decades and is one of Fuerteventura's established cultural events.
