Israel Reyes wrote the play and is directing the world premiere for CLAPSO Producciones. The story begins with a reunion of three long-standing friends: a journalist, a lawyer and a sexologist. They have actually come together to celebrate one of their divorces. However, the festive occasion gradually turns into a humorous yet incisive reflection on their student years and the decisions that continue to have an impact to this day.
The production revolves around friendship, feminism, politics, desire and betrayal. Long-held truths are called into question as the three women re-examine their shared history. The cast features Maricarmen Sánchez, Lili Quintana and Blanca Rodríguez.
The title refers to a lecture given by Mercedes Pinto in 1923 at the Universidad Central in Madrid. The performances at the Teatro Cuyás in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria begin at 19:30 and run until 21:10, lasting 100 minutes. Tickets for the performance are priced between 12 and 23 euros.
