The 2026 festivities in Castillo del Romeral will celebrate the town's maritime identity and the generations who have made their living from the sea. The festivities kick off on Thursday 24 September at 20:30 with an opening address by the local fishermen, dedicated to the fishing families and the roots of Castillo del Romeral.
Over the following days, there will be a mix of parades, music and community events. On Friday 25 September, from 17:30, the Pasacalle del Agua will wind its way through the town, featuring the Batucada Los Castillerinhos and the Banda Aborigen, followed by a set from DJ Yediel in the square. Later that night, Grupo Mallombe and Orquesta La Tremenda will take to the stage. On Saturday 26 September, the Romería-Ofrenda is on the programme from 18:30, followed by a Parranda night with Kal y Canto, as well as concerts by Tonny Tun Tun, Leyenda Joven and Grupo Acuarela.
Sunday 27 September is geared towards families, with mini sports, games, bouncy castles, water activities and a foam party. In the evening, there will also be the Festival Queen's Gala. During the week, the programme includes padel at the Vicente del Bosque Sports Centre; the stage revue 'Escala en Hi-Fi' featuring local residents and children; the Youth and Adult Queen's Gala with Ángel M.; a Senior Citizens' Day with lunch and a tribute to the village's centenarian women; and a Village Day featuring a card tournament, a play and performances by local talent. On Friday 2 October, the programme includes children's activities, a soloists' gathering featuring the Parranda del Cura and Las Descamisadas, as well as Ráfagas de Cumbias, Pedro Afonso and DJ Airam Vega.
The main day is Saturday 3 October. From 14:30 there will be roast fish, followed at 15:00 by the boat procession with La Banda Isleña and, at 19:00, the arrival of the Virgin. The dance evening begins at 23:00 with La Factoría del Swing, followed by fireworks at midnight, after which Star Music and Grupo Una Más will perform. Later in the night, the Diana Floreada with the Banda Aborigen takes place at 5:00, followed by the traditional hot chocolate at 6:00. On Sunday 4 October, there will be a mass and procession at 12 noon with La Banda Isleña, followed in the afternoon by the Verbena Solajera featuring Johan Partymax, La Nueva Cantera, Armonía Show and Calle Obispo. There will also be religious services on 29 September, on 2 October (a mass for the sick) and on Monday 5 October (the closing mass for the deceased).
