The San Silvestre Las Palmas de Gran Canaria combines the end of the year with a community run through the city. The programme features the 'Kids' race over 600 metres on 30 December from 17:00, as well as the 5K Internacional on 31 December from 16:00 and the Popular 6K from 17:00. The official website describes the six-kilometre route as one that is well suited to running together.
The event is intended as a charity run. The 2025 edition attracted 10,001 runners, and registration for 2026 is also taking place via the official registration page. A San Silvestre pack is included with registration. There is also a commemorative T-shirt, available in technical fabric or cotton.
The run is characterised by a relaxed, festive atmosphere. Participants are expressly encouraged to bring friends along, dress up and spend the last day of the year together. The event also emphasises its commitment to sustainability: since 2023, the organisers have been implementing measures to make the run more environmentally friendly, step by step.
Anyone not taking part in the run can also sign up as a volunteer. The official website also features the rules and regulations, route maps, a photo gallery and results from previous editions.
