Three Voices of the 20th Century at the Auditorio Alfredo Kraus
The Orquesta Filarmónica de Gran Canaria's 7th subscription concert, conducted by Leonard Slatkin, brings together three different perspectives on 20th-century music. The Sala Sinfónica at the Auditorio Alfredo Kraus in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is hosting a programme featuring three 20th-century works. Leonard Slatkin returns to the podium to conduct the Orquesta Filarmónica de Gran Canaria.
The violinist Cho-Liang Lin will appear as soloist. He will perform the solo part in Samuel Barber's Violin Concerto. The programme will also feature 'El Corpus Christi en Sevilla' from Albéniz's 'Iberia', in an orchestration by Arbós.
The programme is rounded off by Rachmaninoff's Symphony No. 2. The concert forms part of the season's subscription series and is listed as Subscription Concert 7.
