The module 'Relevo Generacional y Formación Pedagógica' forms part of the Artesanía Viva further training programme run by the Island Council of La Gomera. In Alajeró, the focus is on passing on craft knowledge to younger generations by combining teaching skills with practical teaching approaches. The course is aimed at craftspeople who wish to teach techniques, preserve traditional skills and support the generational transition within the sector.
The sessions in Alajeró are scheduled for Wednesday 25 November 2026 and Thursday 26 November 2026, from 16:30 to 19:30 on both days. The module forms part of an island-wide training programme taking place across several municipalities between May and November. The overall Artesanía Viva programme also covers topics such as digital skills, applied design and creativity, marketing and sales, management and entrepreneurship in the craft sector, as well as Canary Islands craft techniques.
In addition to face-to-face sessions and practical workshops, the project also includes digital content and a guided training programme via a virtual campus. Registration can be made directly with Academia Axón, either in person or by telephone on 922 87 18 56, daily from 8:00 to 20:00.
