At the Chigadá Festival in San Sebastián de La Gomera, two folk groups will be performing in the Plaza de Las Américas. The Chigadá Festival is part of the Fiestas de Octubre 2026 in San Sebastián de La Gomera. It begins on Saturday 3 October at 12 noon in the Plaza de Las Américas. Performing on stage will be the local folk group Parranda Chigadá, as well as Tendal de San Andrés y Sauces, a guest group from La Palma.
The musical event forms part of the Muestra de Artesanía, the craft fair taking place on the same day. In this way, the event combines folk music with the supporting programme of the October festivities.
The festivities are dedicated to the Virgin of Guadalupe, the patron saint of La Gomera. They are organised by the San Sebastián de La Gomera Town Council in collaboration with the La Gomera Island Council.
