The evening forms part of the Fiestas del Rosario in Hermigua, which are being held once again this year. The talk will focus on Luis José Escultor and the question of the so-called 'Painter of Agulo'. Two experts will speak on the subject from different perspectives: the genealogist Gustavo González Rodríguez and the art historian Pablo Jerez.
The Fiestas del Rosario draw on a history stretching back more than 400 years, centred on the miraculous image. The festival programme is organised by the Comisión de Fiestas Nuestra Señora del Rosario, which combines religious tradition with cultural, sporting, musical and social events.
The lecture begins on Saturday, 3 October 2026, at 18:00 in Hermigua. The programme continues at 19:00 with the recitation of the Rosary. The venue is listed as the municipality of Hermigua on La Gomera.
