Molinos del Tiempo: A festival celebrating wine, water and grain in Agulo
The Molinos del Tiempo Festival in Agulo on La Gomera celebrates the village's agricultural heritage with a talk, wine tastings, a workshop on gofio turrón and a guided tour of old mills. Places are limited, so advance booking is required. The event is suitable for all age groups.
On the first day, the programme begins at Casa Azul with a talk on the agricultural history of Agulo. This is followed by a visit to the Bodega Piedra Gorda. There, a workshop will be held on making turrón from gofio, the roasted grain flour that forms part of traditional Canary Islands cuisine. This will be followed by a wine tasting accompanied by live music.
On the second day, a guided tour takes in the village's old threshing floors and watermills, focusing on their role in the rural economy. The day concludes with another wine tasting in a traditional setting.
Participation requires registration via an online form. No information is available regarding the admission price; please enquire with the organiser.
