Rosary Festival in Hermigua with a procession and dancing
The main day of the festival in honour of the Virgen del Rosario in Hermigua begins with a Holy Mass in the Church of Santo Domingo de Guzmán, followed by a procession through the village accompanied by chácaras and drums. This is followed by a religious ceremony, a large gathering in the square and dancing. The festival is intended for visitors who wish to experience a traditional local fiesta on La Gomera.

The Día Grande de la Virgen is the most important day of the Fiestas de Nuestra Señora del Rosario in Hermigua. The celebrations begin at 12 noon with Holy Mass in the parish church of Santo Domingo de Guzmán. The parish choir provides the music for the Mass.
Afterwards, the procession will follow its usual route through the village, accompanied by chácaras and drums. Upon returning to the parish church, a religious ceremony will take place.
The festivities then move to the square in front of the church, where a large gathering is planned. To round off the evening, the band Amanecer de La Gomera will play dance music, with dancing scheduled to continue until 22:00.
