Ayanai Bakthi: A journey through sound in Puntagorda
Ayanai Bakthi is a one-hour sound journey, part concert, part meditation, during which the audience lies down or sits and allows themselves to be guided through five sections by live music. The performance features guitar, singing bowls, koshis, didgeridoo, vocals and electronic beats. The evening is designed for people seeking calm, physically perceptible sounds and a meditative atmosphere. You are welcome to bring a yoga mat or a meditation cushion.
The performance is structured as an unusual sonic journey in five movements: El Despertar, La Raíz, El Trance, La Celebración and La Expansión. The music guides the audience through the evening, whilst visitors can close their eyes and experience the sounds whilst lying down or sitting.
Kim Benjamin guides the journey with his voice and guitar. Anaïs accompanies him, creating meditative soundscapes. The programme combines acoustic and electronic elements, including singing bowls, koshis, didgeridoo and guitar beats. The low frequencies are intended to be not only audible but also physically felt.
The event runs from 19:00 to 20:00 and takes place at Espacio Viento del Norte in Puntagorda, at Camino El Pinar 43C next to 'coffee & cake'. Admission costs 15 euros. You are welcome to bring your own yoga mat or meditation cushion.
