Patrimonial Days in Villa de Mazo: Opening ceremony and talks

The 2nd Villa de Mazo Heritage Days will begin with the opening ceremony and a series of talks on archaeology and nature. The programme includes presentations by Arnoldo Santos Guerra on the Roque de Los Muchachos and by Juan Francisco Navarro Mederos on Belmaco and the rock carvings on La Palma. The event is aimed at those interested in the island's natural and cultural history.

The 2nd Villa de Mazo Heritage Days are being held under the theme 'Rastreamos el pasado para proyectarnos hacia el futuro' and will take place from 15 to 18 October. The event kicks off at the Centro de la Cultura Andares at 18:00 with the opening ceremony.

This will be followed by the Archaeology and Nature programme. At 18:30, Arnoldo Santos Guerra will give a talk on the Roque de Los Muchachos entitled 'Roque de Los Muchachos. A peak to be protected'. At 19:15, Juan Francisco Navarro Mederos will follow with 'Belmaco and the nomination of La Palma's rock engravings for World Heritage status', focusing on Belmaco and the rock engravings on La Palma.

The Heritage Days are organised by Ancestros. The series is funded by the La Palma Island Council and the municipality of Villa de Mazo. All events on the first day will take place at the Centro de la Cultura Andares in Villa de Mazo.
