In the second lecture of Lanzarote Architecture Week 2026, architect Óscar Miguel Ares will speak about his working methods under the title "Una cierta manera de hacer". The topics covered will include materials, space and the existing context, as well as the search for a unique logic for each project that can bring about change with minimal resources.
The event will also feature a screening of the short documentary 'Strange Goodbye'. Through a selection of award-winning projects from the 17th Spanish Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism (BEAU), the film tells a story about architecture, linking it to memory, relocation and a sense of belonging.
The event will take place at El Almacén in Arrecife and will last approximately 90 minutes. It is recommended for those aged twelve and over. Admission is free; invitations can be booked online.
