The author Laura Ferrero will be speaking at the Casa de la Cultura Benito Pérez Armas in Yaiza about her writing and how personal experience can be transformed into literature. The focus will be on memory, relationships and identity, as well as the attempt to find words for things that are difficult to grasp.
The discussion will be moderated by the writer Carlos Battaglini, who directs the Lanzarote Literature Festival. Ferrero will speak with him about her career and her creative process. Born in Barcelona in 1984, the writer, journalist and screenwriter moves between autobiographical writing and fiction.
Her works include “Piscinas vacías”, “Qué vas a hacer con el resto de tu vida”, “La gente no existe” and “Los astronautas”. The latter novel is based on her own family history. The evening begins at 19:30 at Plaza Remedios 1 in Yaiza. Admission is free, but registration via fdll.es is required.
