The 12th Baile de Taifa 'Rancho Grande' opens the Santa Rita festivities in Araya with an evening of Canarian folk music and traditional dances. A Baile de Taifa is a festive evening where folk music groups play live for dancing. Performing will be Idaira, Los Aceviños, Parranda El Chaboco and Igonce. Traditional Canary Islands dress is compulsory for attendance.

The evening will take place in the Plaza de Araya in Candelaria and marks the start of the 2026 Santa Rita festivities in Araya, which run from 16 to 25 October. The event begins at 21:00.
Performing on stage will be the groups Idaira, Los Aceviños, Parranda El Chaboco and Igonce. The Agrupación Folclórica Igonce is coordinating the evening. The focus will be on a traditional Canary Islands folk dance evening, with live music and the audience joining in the dancing.
The event forms part of the programme for the 2026 Fiestas de Santa Rita in Araya. The festival is organised by the Araya Festival Committee with the support of A.C. Chaxacoy. Traditional Canarian dress is required for the Baile de Taifa.
