In "Ausencia Activa", Óscar Deluis explores an artistic quest in which perception and material play a dual role. The exhibition follows a reverse line of thinking: instead of taking something away, something is added; instead of breaking things apart, they are reassembled. This gives rise to an approach that transforms form and condenses space.
The sculpture thus becomes a field for reflection on construction, destruction and the reconfiguration of perception. Deluis operates in a realm where forms shift deliberately and our view of the material world is reordered. The exhibition runs from 8 October 2026 to 8 January 2027 at the Fundación Mapfre Canarias in La Laguna.
