Fiesta del Humo on La Rambla with a torchlight procession
The Fiesta del Humo is a procession held as part of the Fiestas de La Rambla in San Juan de la Rambla. The procession makes its way down the Camino de Las Pencas from the banks of La Vera; at the Molino, the 'hachos', or torches, are lit, and the Parranda La Limera provides musical accompaniment for the procession. To round off the event, a large paella is served to everyone present in the Plaza de La Rambla.

The Fiesta del Humo is one of the Fiestas de La Rambla 2026, which the district is celebrating in honour of Nuestra Señora del Rosario. In his foreword to the programme, the mayor describes it as a special celebration and one of the great symbols of La Rambla.
It begins on Saturday, 10 October 2026, at 18:30. The procession sets off from the banks of La Vera and makes its way down via the Camino de Las Pencas. At the Molino, the bonfires are lit, after which the Parranda La Limera accompanies the procession the rest of the way to the Plaza de La Rambla.
For participants, there will be a bus running from the usual pick-up points to the start of the route. Once they arrive at the square, the festival committee will treat everyone present to a large paella.
