The route begins on Calle San Sebastián, opposite Icod de los Vinos Town Hall. From there, it passes through Plaza de La Pila and along Calle Barranco into Parque del Drago, continuing along the Camino Real to the hamlet of Boquín, past the washing places at Ruy Blas, across the TF-366 and finally to the open space near the transmission masts on Camino Los Pajares.

The race consists of a single discipline: a vertical mountain run of around three kilometres with an elevation gain of approximately 500 metres. The first runner sets off at 8:30, followed by the remaining participants individually at 30-second intervals. The time limit is three hours. The prize-giving ceremony is scheduled for around 11:30 or 12 noon.

There are 200 places available. The race is open to adults and young people aged 14 and over with the consent of their parents or guardian. The entry fee is 15 euros plus administration charges; the registration deadline is 4 October 2026.

In this second edition, the top three finishers in the overall men's and women's rankings will receive prizes of 120, 80 and 50 euros respectively. In addition, there will be awards in 2026 for the best local female runner and the best local male runner.
