The La Laguna Book Fair runs from 8 to 12 October 2026 and will feature a packed programme of events this Saturday in the Plaza del Cristo in La Laguna. From 10:00, book presentations will begin simultaneously in several areas, featuring Clara Rufino, José Vicente González, Antonio M. Piñero, Alicia Llarena, Lola Suárez, Carlos Alayón Galindo, Víctor Ruiz, Javier Gil, Helena Resano, Juan José Dorta, Blanca H. Quintana and Laura Díaz. In the afternoon and evening, the programme will feature, amongst others, Paula Barbero, Guillermo Perdomo Hernández, Ángelo Néstore, Alba Marrero Díaz, Rayco Pulido, Erica Sosa, Ramiro Rosón, Óscar Liam, Emilio González Deniz, Melchor Núñez Pérez, Isa Guerra, Miguel Aguerralde and Cherry Chic.
The literary programme also includes book signings with Andrea Abreu at 12 noon, Helena Resano at 13:00, Ángelo Néstore at 18:00, Rayco Pulido and Erica Sosa at 19:00, and Óscar Liam at 20:00. The events will take place in various areas of the fair, such as the Espacio Alfonso García-Ramos, the Espacio Alicia Llarena, the Zona Cero and the Zona Templete.
There will also be a number of cultural events. At 11:00, the programme features "El paso de los cisnes" with Reciclown Teatro, as well as the poetry trail "La Laguna en verso". From 11:30, the 34th "Noche de los Cuentos" for children will take place in the Plaza del Cristo and in San Agustín, alongside a fanzine workshop at the Casa de las Palabras. The cultural programme also features "Vivimos del cuento" with Carmen Sara Floriano, Magda Labarga, María Fraile, Cristina Verbena and Ana Griott, Mimo Trogo, two sessions of "Café de las palabras", and a literary debate at the "Espacio Ventanas de Colores".
In the late afternoon, a virtual reality zone and the Street Alley adventure trails will be added in the Tendedero area. At 18:30, Carlos Pedrós will lead a body percussion workshop. From 19:00, there will be another family and children's session of 'Vivimos del cuento', featuring a local book fair, authors and African percussion. At 21:00, there will be an evening session featuring Pepito El Cuadro, Charo Jaular and María Fraile. The event will conclude with music by Pepito Halley and Paloma Ballanda from 22:00 until 8:00.
