On Saturday, 24 October 2026, Araya will host the main day of the Santa Rita festivities. At 19:30, Mass in honour of Saint Rita will begin in the parish church. It will be celebrated by Father Fray Gregorio Ramos Domínguez and accompanied by the Agrupación Folclórica Igonce.
This will be followed by a procession through the village carrying the image of Saint Rita, accompanied by the Banda de Música Las Candelas. Afterwards, a fireworks display by the Hermanos Toste is scheduled.
Later in the evening, at 22:30, a verbena will begin in the village square. This day of celebration forms part of the Santa Rita festivities in Araya, which run from 16 to 25 October. Almost the entire programme for this festival week takes place in the Plaza de Araya.
