The observation will take place at the Observatorio de las Migraciones at the Faro de Buenavista on the north-western tip of Tenerife. According to the municipality of Buenavista del Norte, tens of thousands of seabirds pass through the area every autumn. On this occasion, seabirds and whales will be observed right on the coast.
The event forms part of the Observatory's II Jornadas divulgativas. On the same Saturday, talks will begin at 9:30 at the Casa La Viuda, before the programme moves to the coast in the afternoon. The meeting point for the observation is the Faro de Buenavista, also known as the Faro del Casco, on the Camino de Las Ánimas in Buenavista del Norte. Admission is free; no booking is required.
