On the feast day of Santa Úrsula, which is also a local public holiday, a solemn, concelebrated Mass is held at the Parroquia de Santa Úrsula Mártir in honour of Santa Úrsula Mártir, the town's patron saint and eternal honorary mayor. Juan Antonio Guedes Suárez, Vicar General of the Diocese of Nivariense, presides over the service and delivers the sermon.
The Coral de Santa Úrsula, conducted by Javier Quintero, will provide the musical accompaniment. Afterwards, the procession, carrying the images of Saint Ursula and the Virgin of the Rosary, will make its way through the town. It will be accompanied by civil and ecclesiastical dignitaries, brotherhoods, festival queens and ladies-in-waiting.
Once the procession has ended, a fireworks display is scheduled to take place in front of the town hall. The celebration forms part of the Fiestas Patronales of Santa Úrsula, which take place from 4 to 25 October in honour of Santa Úrsula Mártir and Nuestra Señora del Rosario.
