Carlos Javier Castro Brunetto is a lecturer in art history and philosophy at the Universidad de La Laguna. In his lecture, he examines Brazilian fashion not merely as a matter of style, but as an integral part of cultural identity. The focus is on how clothing contributes to the formation and representation of Brazilian identities.
Brunetto also coordinates the research group 'Arte, Moda e Identidad'. The lecture is part of the 'Moda Brasileña 23' series within the 23rd Tensamba Festival 2026. This festival of Brazilian culture runs in the Canary Islands from 4 September to 7 November.
