The Verbena begins on Saturday, 24 October 2026, at 22:30 in the Plaza de Araya in Candelaria. It follows directly on from the procession and fireworks display on the main day of the Santa Rita festivities and forms the late-night celebrations in the village square.
Music will be provided by the Acapulco and Wamampy orchestras. The celebrations will take the form of an open-air dance party on the Plaza de Araya, where almost the entire rest of the festival programme also takes place.
The Verbena is part of the 2026 Fiestas de Santa Rita in Araya, which run from 16 to 25 October. The festivities are organised by the Araya Festival Committee with the support of A.C. Chaxacoy.
