21st Amolán Folk Music Festival in Puerto del Rosario

The Amolán folk music gathering is the highlight of the Puerto del Rosario festival programme. It takes place in the Plaza de Nuestra Señora del Rosario in the town centre, where the music is performed in the open air.

The Parranda Los Paperos de Valleseco will be performing. In Canarian parrandas, groups usually play traditional songs and use the Canary Islands' traditional instruments. The gathering forms part of a packed evening of festivities: first on the programme is the procession to the patron saint's shrine, followed by a large concert at the festival site.
