The Las Calderas Trail is a day of running and walking in Lajares, featuring several routes for different ability levels. The programme includes 17.5- and 10.5-kilometre trail runs, as well as an eight-kilometre walking route. There are also children's races over two, one and 0.5 kilometres for the three to 14-year-old age groups. The event is also aimed at families who wish to combine exercise with the great outdoors.
The Las Calderas Trail offers a choice of several formats. The longest route is the Calderón Extreme, covering 17.5 kilometres, whilst the Mini Calderón covers 10.5 kilometres. Those who do not wish to run can take part in the Pateíto de senderismo, which covers eight kilometres.
There are separate distances for children, categorised by age. The distances are two kilometres for 11 to 14-year-olds, one kilometre for 6 to 10-year-olds and 0.5 kilometres for 3 to 5-year-olds. The event therefore caters for both ambitious athletes and families with children.
The fourth edition of the Trail Las Calderas will take place on 21 November 2026 in La Oliva and is scheduled to run from 10.00 to 15.00. It is organised by Club Deportivo Obstáculos La Oliva.
