Church service and procession for Nuestra Señora del Pino
On the final day of the Puerto Lajas Fiestas, a solemn mass is held in honour of Nuestra Señora del Pino, accompanied by a romería and a procession by land and sea. A romería is a traditional pilgrimage involving a communal procession to a sanctuary. The route leads from Puerto del Rosario to the Ermita de Puerto Lajas, after which the image of the Virgin Mary is carried by boat across the bay.

The public holiday on 12 October 2026 marks the end of the Puerto Lajas festivities in honour of Nuestra Señora del Pino, which run from 6 to 12 October. Before the church service, the romería sets off from the Plaza de la Iglesia in Puerto del Rosario along the old coastal path to the Ermita de Puerto Lajas.
The solemn service begins there at 13:00. This is followed at 13:30 by a procession on land and at sea, during which the image of the Virgin is carried by boat across the bay of Puerto Lajas. The event takes place at the Ermita de Puerto Lajas in the municipality of Puerto del Rosario on Fuerteventura.
