Workshop on traditional Romería attire in Tuineje

The workshop demonstrates how to dress in traditional style for a romería. A romería is a festive pilgrimage which, in the Canary Islands, is often associated with traditional dress, music and communal celebrations. The event forms part of the 2026 Fiestas de San Miguel Arcángel in Tuineje and is open to both men and women. The meeting point is the Plaza de San Miguel.

The workshop is part of the 2026 Fiestas de San Miguel Arcángel in Tuineje, Fuerteventura. It focuses on the traditional attire worn for a romería. Participants will be shown how to dress up for this occasion, for both men and women. The workshop is therefore aimed at anyone who would like to familiarise themselves with the customary attire for a romería as part of the local festivities.

The event will take place in the Plaza de San Miguel in Tuineje. It forms part of the festival programme, which runs from 25 September to 18 October. The workshop is therefore integrated into the celebrations in honour of San Miguel Arcángel and adds a practical element to the festival, focusing on customs and traditional dress.
