The XXVII Travesía a Nado is a 3,500-metre open-water swim from Lobos Island to the marina at Corralejo. The event forms part of the IX Copa Canaria Open de Aguas Abiertas and the IV Circuito Canario Open de Aguas Abiertas. The event is open to registered and unregistered swimmers aged 15 and over; places are limited to 300 and have already been allocated.

The route runs from the area around Punta Marrajo on the island of Lobos to the jetty at the Muelle Deportivo de Corralejo on Fuerteventura. The start is scheduled for 12 noon; participants must arrive at the boarding area by 11:00, from where they will be transferred to the start line. The event is subject to weather and safety conditions.
The race has a maximum time limit of 120 minutes in the water; the race control therefore closes at 14:00. Participants must wear a swim buoy, the official swimming cap and a chip on their ankle. The event is open to both federation members and non-members aged 15 and over; minors must also provide authorisation and a certificate from their club.
The entry fee is 55 euros. Ten per cent of the proceeds will go to Spanish Cancer Aid. The event is limited to 300 participants; places are already fully booked.
