The Romería-Ofrenda is regarded as Valleseco's big day and marks the start of the main weekend in honour of La Encarnación. Various hamlets and associations from the municipality take part in the procession around the Plaza Municipal. The statue of the Virgin Mary is accompanied by ox-drawn carts, traditional costumes and parrandas, whilst local produce is offered up. This food is subsequently donated to charitable organisations.
The tradition began in 1974, when young people from the Zumacal neighbourhood presented loaves of bread and apples before the image. More than five decades later, the festival continues to combine devotion, folklore and solidarity. Since 2011, the Romería has been recognised as a festival of regional tourist interest.
Following the offering, there is a programme in the square for different age groups, featuring music, tribute performances, shows and comedy. The line-up includes Armonía Show, Furia Joven, Valledry Fest, La Parranda and the Banda de Música de Teror. Maestro Florido will be providing the comedy. The pilgrimage also marks the start of the main festival day of La Encarnación on Sunday 4 October and forms part of the big weekend of the Fiestas de La Manzana.
