The stage adaptation of “La Barraca” is based on the social novel by Vicente Blasco Ibáñez and was adapted by Marta Torres. It is directed by Magüi Mira. The story centres on a family in rural Valencia who are trying to make a living but encounter resistance stemming from past disputes and the collective memory of the village community.
The production transforms the realistic novel into a collectively driven drama about property, poverty, social pressure, dignity and exclusion. The cast includes Daniel Albaladejo, Antonio Hortelano, Patricia Ross and Jorge Mayor.
Two performances are scheduled at the Teatro Cuyás: on Friday 30 October 2026 and Saturday 31 October 2026, both from 19:30 to 20:45. The official running time is 75 minutes. Ticket prices start at 12 euros; the event page lists a range of 12 to 23 euros.
