Community paella and a concert by Tacones Rojos to mark the Feast of Our Lady of the Pillar
On Pilar Day, there will be a large communal paella and a concert by the all-female group Tacones Rojos in the Plaza del Pilar in Guanarteme. Both events form part of the closing day of the Fiestas de la Virgen del Pilar in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. These two events follow the procession of the Virgin and take place before King África's concert at 16:00.

The giant community paella and the Tacones Rojos concert will begin on Monday, 12 October 2026, at 13:30 in the Plaza del Pilar in Guanarteme, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The celebrations will take place on the feast day of Nuestra Señora del Pilar.
Both events form part of the final day of the 2026 Fiestas de la Virgen del Pilar, which run from 30 September to 12 October. According to the programme, the paella and concert will follow on directly from the procession of the Virgin, scheduled for 13:00.
Afterwards, the festival programme continues in the same square. King África's closing concert is scheduled to take place there at 16:00.
