The concert is part of the 'El Rincón del Jazz' series at the Auditorio Alfredo Kraus. According to the organisers, the trio is one of the defining groups of contemporary jazz manouche, that style of Gypsy jazz closely associated with Django Reinhardt. Joscho Stephan carries on this legacy with a style of his own, which incorporates influences from Latin American music, pop and classical music alongside traditional jazz.
The line-up features Joscho Stephan on guitar, Sven Jungbeck on guitar and Volker Kamp on double bass. Particular attention is drawn to Stephan's rapid articulation, rhythmic precision and his improvisations.
