The venue is La Cícer, at the southern end of Las Canteras beach in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The fifth edition of the ETB Gran Canaria Pro will take place there from 11 to 14 October. The competition is an official stop on the European Bodyboarding Tour, organised under the auspices of the European Surfing Federation.
Competition will take place in the Men's, Women's, Junior and Dropknee categories. Participants come from several countries. The times for the individual heats have not been published in advance, as the schedule for a wave competition depends on sea conditions.
The 2026 event coincides with a significant anniversary: in 1986, Spain's first bodyboarding competition took place at La Cícer. Since then, this stretch of Las Canteras has been closely linked to the development of local bodyboarders. The waves break over a sandy seabed here, allowing for manoeuvres, turns and tubes, and making this stretch of beach a regular training spot.
