The celebrations begin on Monday, 12 October, at 12 noon at the Parroquia de Nuestra Señora del Pilar in Guanarteme with a solemn, concelebrated Mass. Afterwards, the procession in honour of the Virgen del Pilar will set off. The public programme states that this will take place at 13:00.
The procession will be accompanied by the Agrupación musical y Majorette La Salle de Agüimes. The route takes in the Plaza del Pilar and the streets of Lepanto, Numancia, Párroco Francisco Rodríguez Rodríguez and Luchana, before returning via Lepanto to the Plaza del Pilar.
12 October is the main day of the Fiestas de la Virgen del Pilar 2026, which run from 30 September to 12 October. On the same day, there will also be Eucharistic celebrations in the parish church at 10.00 and 19.00. The offering of flowers to the Virgin at the church door will take place on 11 and 12 October.
