The event is aimed particularly at women working in the film industry in the Canary Islands. At the same time, it is open to all cinema professionals and anyone with an interest in the subject. Another aim is to stimulate the development of Canarian projects in which Africa plays a significant role.
In terms of content, M.A.R. draws on the unique situation of the Canary Islands: politically and economically part of Europe, geographically situated in Africa, and historically and culturally closely linked to Latin America. The venue is the Teatro Auditorio Agüimes at Paseo La Viñuela 2 in Agüimes. Admission is free.
