To mark the start of the Fiestas de La Naval, a parade to herald the festivities takes place on a tourist bus, accompanied by a brass band, travelling from Parque Santa Catalina to the church of Nuestra Señora de La Luz. There, the offering is made and the Virgin's flag is hoisted on the church façade, accompanied by a charanga band and fireworks. The celebration is also suitable for families and marks the start of the traditional festivities in La Isleta.

The Antiguas y Tradicionales Fiestas de La Naval, in honour of Nuestra Señora La Virgen de La Luz, will take place from 2 to 18 October 2026 in La Isleta, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The festivities will kick off on Friday 2 October with the Paseo Anunciador.
It starts at 18:00 at Parque Santa Catalina. The announcement procession will travel by tourist bus, accompanied by a brass band, along Eduardo Benot, Agustín Millares Sall, Gordillo, Juan Rejón and Manuel Becerra streets to the Church of Nuestra Señora de La Luz. The offering is to take place there.
At 19:00, the Virgin's flag will be hoisted on the church façade. Charanga musicians will perform for the occasion, and fireworks are also planned. At 20:00, the Pregón, the opening speech marking the start of the festivities, will take place in the Jardines del Castillo de La Luz.
